We just received our Type 1 attestation report from an independent auditor based on a thorough review of how Wingman protects the security, availability and privacy of the systems used to process our customers’ data.

Here’s some plain-speak:

• Achieving SOC Type 1 compliance certification verifies that Wingman implements best practices to safeguard your sensitive business data. For you, this means peace of mind to go about business as usual.
• What is SOC? Glad you asked! Service Organization Controls 2 (SOC 2) is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
• SOC 2 compliance comes in two flavors, both based on audits by independent third parties who specialize in such security assessments. A SOC 2 Type 1 report describes the design of Wingman’s system controls to meet relevant trust criteria. A Type 2 report details the operational effectiveness of Wingman’s system controls over a specified period of time (work on this is underway).
